These ones are what is left. Two disclosures worth carrying. NutritionFacts.org is a genuine nonprofit that takes no sponsorship and sells no supplements, but it argues a consistent whole-food plant-based position, so read it as a well-evidenced argument rather than a neutral survey. Sigma Nutrition is rigorous and openly discloses that parts of its resources page carry affiliate links.

Personal Finance Without a Sales Pitch (2026)

The test was whether a source still works if you never buy anything. Most personal finance content fails it, because the content is the top of a funnel for a fund, a course, or an affiliate link. What survives splits three ways. Reference you can check: the Bogleheads wiki, the r/personalfinance wiki, and the regulators' own material at Investor.gov, MyMoney.gov and SEBI's investor site. Tools: FINRA BrokerCheck, for looking someone up before you hand them money, and Portfolio Charts, for testing an allocation against history rather than against a sales deck. Writers with nothing to sell: Mike Piper, JL Collins's free Stock Series, Karsten Jeske's safe withdrawal rate series, Nick Maggiulli, and Morgan Housel at Collab Fund. Two disclosures. Monevator's broker comparison table carries affiliate links. Nick Maggiulli works at Ritholtz Wealth Management. Both stayed because the writing earns it and the conflict is visible and one-directional. This list is deliberately anglophone and mostly US and UK, and that is a limitation rather than a preference. Apart from SEBI's own investor site there is no Indian entry, because Indian equivalents of Bogleheads or Monevator do not really exist yet. The India-specific creators list is a separate collection for exactly that reason.

Indian Personal Finance Creators Worth Trusting (2026): Ones That Do Not Sell You the Trade

Search this and you get a loan app's blog, an influencer agency, and posts dated 2023. They rank by subscriber count, which in Indian finance selects almost perfectly for the people selling you something. The filter here is how a person gets paid. If the answer is a stock tip or a paid community, they are not on this list. What survives is smaller than you would expect, and it is nine sources rather than twelve, because freefincal, Moneylife and Zerodha Varsity each appear twice: once as a written archive and once as a channel. Those halves are genuinely different, and freefincal's blog in particular is the better half. Checked in August 2026, and the checking matters. Pranjal Kamra has published nothing since April 2025. Labour Law Advisor's feed is now general-curiosity shorts about lightning and procrastination rather than tax. Any list still recommending those as finance channels is describing 2022. Start with freefincal if you want the arithmetic, Zerodha Varsity if you want to be taught in sequence, and the flat-fee planner directory if you actually need to make a decision rather than read about one. Monika Halan is the one to read on insurance, because she has no distribution income to protect. Moneylife is the only outfit here that reports on this industry rather than working inside it. Conflicts, stated. Zerodha is a broker and earns when you trade, which is why Varsity is free. Capitalmind runs a PMS. Shankar Nath is a registered Research Analyst (INH000022093) whose sector videos carry projected CAGR figures, so read those differently from his mutual fund explainers. Basavaraj Tonagatti is a fee-only SEBI RIA and legally cannot take commission. Asset Yogi is the one entry included for reach and clarity in Hindi rather than for a verified revenue model, so treat its IPO reviews as commentary.

Finance Accounts to Mute (2026): Judged on What They Actually Publish

Every "finfluencers to avoid" list is either an unsourced grudge or a rewrite of press coverage. This one rests on two things: what these channels published in the last three months, and what their own audience says about the genre. The tells come from r/personalfinanceindia rather than from me. Projections assuming 12% returns against 4 to 6% inflation, which makes any spreadsheet produce a crore. Creators presenting a 20 lakh car and international school fees as ordinary middle-class life. One thread does the entire job in two sentences by setting Warikoo's 50,000 rupee SIP becoming 15 crore against Pattu's arithmetic saying you will not retire at all. The five channels were read, not assumed, and each entry says what was actually in the feed. Akshat Shrivastava posting unaudited CAGR claims and a named "#1 Pick" alongside a paid community. Pushkar Raj Thakur, branded a Stock Market Educator, running Dubai property promotions filmed with a realtor. Booming Bulls, a trading academy whose channel is Maldives and jet skis, silent since September 2024. GTF selling an indicator between founder hagiography and Bhagavad Gita lessons applied to trading. And Warikoo, who belongs in a separate category: nothing improper whatsoever, but a daily curiosity-gap upload schedule is entertainment, and the error is filing it under financial planning. Nobody here is accused of breaking a rule, and this list makes no claim about anyone's registration status either way. The question it asks is simpler: does this feed leave you better at handling money. For these five, it does not. freefincal is the antidote, and the only thing here worth subscribing to. M. Pattabiraman publishes the arithmetic the rest of the industry rounds away, takes no sponsorship, and puts out videos answering his own critics. Read in August 2026. Feeds drift, so this is due a re-check in February 2027.

Money Podcasts Not Selling You Something (2026)

Most "best money podcast" lists rank by chart position, which selects for the shows with the biggest ad spend and the most aggressive funnel. The filter here is where the host's money comes from, and whether the show needs you to act on it. Nobody is conflict-free, so every conflict is named. Rational Reminder is the most rigorous evidence-based show going and its hosts run PWL Capital, a wealth manager. The Long View is Morningstar's, and Morningstar sells ratings and data. Money For the Rest of Us has a paid membership. Meaningful Money's Pete Matthew is a practising financial planner. PensionCraft sells a subscription. Capitalmind runs a PMS. The ones with no angle at all are the journalism. Planet Money, The Indicator and Odd Lots are reported shows with nothing to sell you, and Bogleheads on Investing comes from the nonprofit John C. Bogle Center for Financial Literacy. Deliberately absent: every show whose actual business is the course advertised in the first ninety seconds.

These channels pass four tests: they explain mechanism rather than results, they ship something checkable (code, papers, benchmarks, derivations), they say "we don't know" when nobody does, and their videos are still correct eighteen months later.
